Office and Event Support

Volunteer Coordinators

We need two people to team together to promote volunteer opportunities and maintain the volunteer schedule. The Volunteer Coordinators will screen volunteers and maintain volunteer contact information. They will work with the Executive Director to assure appropriate working conditions and materials are available to volunteers. Ideally, the Volunteer Coordinators will be familiar with the neighborhood and surrounding community. The time commitment is estimated be four to six hours a week.

Office Volunteer

Office volunteers provide assistance to staff, help prepare for meetings and events, and greet program participants and visitors. Regularly scheduled times or on-call availability can be offered.

Event Volunteer

Event Volunteers assist in the coordination of fundraisers, gatherings and special events. Event volunteers may help send invitations, promote events, decorate, set up, and sell tickets. Volunteers will serve under the direction of the Executive Director, a member of the Board or a member of the Development Committee.

Joblink Volunteer

The Hope Center is an Access Point within the JobLink share network of Wake County. JobLink provides job search information and resource materials, computer/Internet access and resume development assistance. With training, volunteers will be asked to:

  • assist job seekers using reference materials
  • assist job seekers with internet searches
  • review resumes and cover letters

Shower & Laundry Program Volunteer

This future program will provide access to people living transiently to use a shower and launder clothes. Program details are still being vetted. This program would be good project for a civic club due to the nature of ongoing volunteer commitment. If you would like to help define and develop this new program, please contact Pat Hielscher, Office Manager, at phielscher@hopecenteratpullen.org.
